We were asked to create a trophy for the winner of the finale of the Xbox Game Pass series. Xbox wanted to have a hand holding an Xbox controller with a small base and name plates. With a extremely short timeline, we got to work immediately. We purchased a brand new Xbox One controller and created an Alginate mold of Mike’s arm holding the controller. The arm was cast in Ultra Cal 30 and sanded smooth. The arm was spray painted with a rich gold gloss paint. The base was 3D printed, molded and casted to have a heavier base. The 2 pieces were bolted at the bottom.
Overall, this was an extremely fun project that went from design to finished product in about 3 days.
