 Pokeball’s 2016

After selling out of our last batch of Pokeball’s fairly quickly, we decided to do another batch. Before we started, we did some experimentation to find some new techniques and attempted to discover a new way to make Pokeball’s. We used various techniques such as clear resin with different powder dyes, glitter and even to make ones with a light up button!

After our experimentation, we bunkered down and started making multiple molds using Mold Star 16 FAST from Smooth On. We cast using Smooth Cast 300 which had a 10 minute cure time. The pieces were glued to a wooden base and sent to an automotive auto body shop where they would get professionally painted. We then took them off the base and glued them in place with the interior ring and they were good to go. Battle damaged variants were created to save some of the Pokeball’s damaged in the process.
