My Hero Academia - All Might Themed Door Hanger
This was a quick project for a secret Santa gift. As a fan of “My Hero Academia”, I decided to make a small run of these. This is a prop that is showcased on the front door of the main character Izuku Midoriya’s room.
I started by creating a 3D model on Tinkercad, extracting reference material from the show, I got the perfect shape of “All Might’s” hair. After 3D printing it, I was able to trace the shape onto 1/4 inch MDF wood, cut it using a scroll saw and sanded it down before spraying it with a matte white primer paint. I hooked up my airbrush for the first time and painted the blue and gold using water based acrylics diluted with airbrush thinner. The names were cut using a Silhouette vinyl cutter. The string on the back was glued on using Gorilla Glue as well as E6000 Industrial Adhesive.
…and done!
I’m mainly proud of this small project due to it being made from scratch, the templates to everything else. Anything is possible!
